Another weekend, another wedding! Heather and David tied the knot over the weekend, and we attended their wedding reception at the Gautier home in the Walnut Creek hills. Erik and I took BART and walked (one of the many adventures of city folk who don’t have cars… walking under freeway underpasses
and through rural scenery. (this was really just an excuse to take pictures of my outfit for weardrobe.) It was a pretty easy trek.
They had a beautiful home complete with a koi pond, babbling waterfall, and a patio perfect for dancing. It looked just like one of those wedding sites that places charge tons of money for – just tack a winery or a chapel on it, and everyone would be none the wiser!
Heather and David looked truly happy. It was so touching seeing two such deserving people be totally in love and content. I don’t really know David, but I’ve known Heather for a long time and there’s no one who deserves happiness like she does. I have such happy memories of running around with her with the Cruising Group in high school, of her doing my hair for Senior Prom, and of being regulars at Punk Night at Spoontonic when we both lived in Concord. She’s such an innocent and caring soul, and she’s always faced life with humor and good natured patience.
A picture perfect couple, too!
I enjoyed spending time with a lot of people who gathered for it – Mairin and Jeff (newly engaged!), Kayte and Jim (newly married!), Carey and Jamie (always fun), Arthur and Em (also newly married!), and Katie (all the way out from Texas!).
I just hope now that all the crazy fun madness of wedding plans is over, I’ll get to see more of this girl!
