what’s wrong with this picture
Yesterday I received two pieces of mail in my mailbox: one was a meager letter on recycled paper from the Alameda Food Bank talking about the 65% increase in families requiring support because of the recession and asking for any sort of help possible. The other was a completely unsolicited, gold printed laminated BOOK about the New York Yankees and their upcoming season. How does a SPORTS TEAM have so much money to waste that they are paying for postage to send huge, high quality (surely expensive to print) books to people who don’t even care (me)? While the food bank is running out of food for all the families who now don’t have a breadwinner?
So backwards. So depressing.
